Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has made important announcements regarding wheat and urad procurement in the interest of farmers. After discussions with representatives of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, the government has decided to give a bonus of ₹40 per quintal on wheat procurement and an incentive amount of ₹600 per quintal on urad. The Chief Minister informed that the last date for registration for wheat procurement has been extended from March 7 to March 10, so that maximum farmers can register and take advantage of government procurement. ₹40 per quintal bonus on wheat This year, farmers in the state will be given a bonus of ₹40 per quintal in addition to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) on wheat procurement. The government says this will increase farmers’ income and they will get better prices for their crops. ₹600 incentive to increase urad cultivation The state government has announced an incentive amount of ₹600 per quintal on the purchase of black gram to promote its cultivation. The government believes this will encourage farmers to pay more attention to pulse crops and promote crop diversification. The Chief Minister said that arrangements are being made to provide electricity during the daytime for irrigation to facilitate farmers.
