He received a total of 4,610 votes in the election and stood fourth. While being active in politics, he tried to raise regional issues, but in recent days he has been in discussion due to continuous incidents. Currently, Dayashankar is going through a family crisis, in which his pregnant wife Anjali (26) lost her unborn child after an alleged attack. Additionally, he has previously accused of being a victim of several attacks. After these incidents, their family is in terror and they are continuously struggling for justice. Dayashankar says that he will continue to fight against the injustice done to his family and is demanding strict action against the culprits. First the four attacks that targeted the family Complainant Dayashankar Pandey says that this is not a single incident with them, but they and their family have been targeted in four different consecutive incidents. The victim says that despite four life-threatening attacks, neither was strict action taken against the accused nor did they receive security. Now the family is living in constant terror and pleading for justice. Not buried, kept safe to show the judge Dayashankar said that after the incident, he had no hope of justice from the police station and police. In such a situation, he safely hung his child’s fetus packed on a tree by the river. He deliberately did not bury it so that it could be presented as evidence before the judge if needed. He says that keeping it on the ground could have caused animals to damage it. He said that the biggest concern was how to take the fetus inside the court. During this time, he saw that the policemen were negligent, so he took the opportunity to take the fetus inside along with the documents and placed it on the judge’s table. When the judge asked in surprise, Dayashankar said, “This is my child, I want justice.” People present there were also stunned seeing this scene. FIR not filed even after several days Dayashankar alleges that even days after the incident, he is not getting justice. He says that on March 19, he went to the University police station, where he tried to record his statement and file an FIR, but no report was registered. He waited at the police station for about two hours, but there was no hearing and he had to return disappointed. According to Dayashankar, he has been to the police station three times, but each time he had to return empty-handed. He says that if action had been taken in time, perhaps his child’s life could have been saved. Meanwhile, the University police station says that the victim’s wife is involved in the case, so her statements are important. Further action will be taken based on the wife’s statement. Wife said – everything ended in a moment Dayashankar’s wife Anjali says – “I can’t understand anything… everything ended in a moment. I had felt my baby, its every movement was my life, but now everything is empty. The pain of that day is still alive in my body… and even more painful is the fact that I couldn’t save my baby. I can’t sleep at night, those moments keep coming before my eyes again and again. If only someone had saved us earlier, my baby would have been in my lap today…” Feel scared even when leaving the house Dayashankar says that his family continues to live under the shadow of fear. We are constantly afraid of when and where the next attack will be. First came the threats, then attacks happened one after another. Sometimes they blocked the way and attacked, sometimes they tried to kill by ramming with a vehicle. Now the situation is such that even when leaving the house, there is fear. Every passing car seems like a threat. We are not living, just spending life in constant fear. Dayashankar Pandey says that he worked as an accountant at Shubh Motor Maruti Showroom in Jabalpur from 2018 to 2025. During this time, he learned about alleged fraud of about 200 crore rupees by the showroom management. He complained about this in 2024, after which attacks on him and his family began continuously. Police said – Action will be taken after investigation University Police Station in-charge Hitendranath Sharma says that the matter is being investigated seriously. He said that all allegations are being investigated and legal action will be taken based on the facts that come to light. High Court said – Decision not possible on emotional grounds While dismissing Dayashankar’s petition, the High Court said that it is not based on proper grounds, therefore cannot be accepted. The court also said that if the police is not taking action, the petitioner has other legal options, such as approaching the magistrate. Objecting to bringing the fetus to court, it said- The petitioner had placed the miscarried fetus before the court. This affects the dignity of the court. Justice is based not on emotions, but on law and evidence. The court clarified that bringing a fetus to a public place in this manner is illegal. It should be handled and disposed of according to the Biomedical Waste Rules, 2016. Such actions can be considered disrespectful to the human body and are punishable. The court warned the petitioner not to repeat such behavior in the future and to appear in court with dignity and responsibility, otherwise legal action could be taken.
