cameraman-shot-during-kalash-yatra-firing:sadhu-with-4-gunmen-opens-fire;-accused-visible-still-fir-filed-against-unknown-person

A disturbing video has surfaced from Rewa showing a cameraman being shot during a Kalash Yatra. What is even more shocking is that despite the accused sadhu and his associates being clearly visible in the footage, police have failed to make any arrests even four days after the incident and have instead registered an FIR against unknown persons. The incident occurred in the Gulab Nagar area under Saman police station limits on March 19, when a Kalash Yatra was being carried out for Chaitra Navratri. A man dressed as a sadhu—wearing black sunglasses, a white turban and saffron robes—was part of the procession, accompanied by four gunmen in safari suits. In the viral video, one of the gunmen is seen loading a firearm and handing it to the sadhu, who then fires shots into the air. Reports suggest that multiple rounds were fired during the procession. During the firing, one bullet struck Pawan Singh, who was recording the event, injuring his leg. He was rushed to a private hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the police have seized the camera and its memory card as part of the investigation. First look at those 2 pictures… where the person can be seen firing… ‘If I had known there would be celebratory firing, I would never have gone’ Injured Pawan said, “I only went for video shooting, if I had known beforehand that there would be a firing incident, I would never have gone there, what happened was very scary.” Pawan further said that this incident has shaken him to the core. Now he wants action to be taken against the accused so that such incidents do not happen again in the future. CSP said – Complainant did not reveal identity “The complainant has not mentioned any kind of enmity or conspiracy for an attack. He reported the incident but has not provided the identity of the accused. We are investigating based on the [CCTV] footage.” said CSP, Rewa, Rajeev Pathak.
