murder-suspected-in-accidental-deaths-of-siblings-in-sehore:uncle-cites-controversial-remark,-says-ti-told-him-to-bring-bodies-if-they-die

A brother and sister were beaten to death on March 6 in Dharmapuri village of Sehore district. It was alleged that their uncle, aunt, cousin brother-sister-in-law and others attacked them together with sickles, sticks and axes. The incident occurred when the boy was going to take his 10th exam. Sheetal (20) and Kuldeep Malviya (19) were the children of Jagdish Malviya. Police have named five people as accused in this case. The main accused Hari Singh Malviya and his son Hemant aka Sanju Malviya were presented in court and sent to jail. Meanwhile, Sewanta Bai and Hemlata Bai have already been sent to jail. Other accused are still absconding. Police have also seized the bike, clothes and sticks used in the crime. Victim family said they have been living in fear for past 6 months The victim’s family said they had been living in terror for about six months. They requested police protection several times, but no concrete action was taken. It was also alleged that when the police station in-charge Raju Singh Baghel was called at the time of the incident, he did not show seriousness. Such an incident was being anticipated since last Diwali. At that time, accused Hari Singh’s son Ritesh Malviya died in a road accident. He suspected that this accident was orchestrated by his brother Jagdish. Since then, there has been animosity between both families. It was being reported that two days before the incident, Hari had told villagers that he would do something that the entire village would remember. After the incident, Dainik Bhaskar’s team reached Dharampuri village. Dharampuri village is 40 kilometers away from Ashta Dharampuri village is located about 40 kilometers from Ashta tehsil headquarters. To reach here, one has to travel through a rough unpaved road from Siddikganj main road. While going towards the village, fields can be seen on both sides of the road. In these fields, the wheat crop is ripe and ready for harvesting. Some fields have already been half harvested, while laborers were seen carrying the harvested crop to the threshing floor. As you approach the village, houses built under fields and some trees start appearing. The special thing about Dharampuri village is that no house is attached to another. In this village of about 20-25 houses, there is a distance of approximately 100 to 200 feet between each house. Police said – this is the house of the accused Moving forward in the village, a house came into view. Three to four policemen were sitting in the house’s shed and their rifles were leaning against the wall. Upon seeing Divya Bhaskar’s team, they stood up while adjusting their uniforms. When asked if this was the house of Jagdish Malviya, whose son and daughter were murdered? The police officers said that this is not their house, but the house of the main accused Hari Singh Malviya. According to them, all the accused were arrested. Police duty had been deployed there to prevent any kind of vandalism. House was set on fire on the day of funeral Police officials said, “Three days ago when both children’s bodies were being taken for funeral, during that time someone set fire to the back of this house. Since then, police have been deployed here for security”. When police were asked about Jagdish Malviya’s house, they pointed out the way. Walking along the farm boundary, Divya Bhaskar’s team reached their house in just a few moments. Outside the house, belongings were scattered and four-five cots were laid out. The faces of the people present there looked distressed. Everyone was immersed in deep grief. Their faces and conversations clearly showed anger against the police. Children’s uncle says – Everything is finished A man was sitting alone on a cot under a tree. When Divya Bhaskar team reached near him, he told them that he is Mukesh Chauhan, the maternal uncle of the deceased children. He said, “Everything is finished”. He said that his brother-in-law had not been leaving the house for the past six months due to this fear. He added, “Police were also aware of this situation. Sometimes policemen would come and arrange rations and water for the family”. Called the TI (Town Inspector), but didn’t get help According to Mukesh, he called the TI (Town Inspector) the same day when the accused attacked his nephew and niece. The TI said “Go ahead and die, bring everyone after death, the case will resolve itself.” Enmity between both families increased after son’s death Actually, last year on Diwali, Hari Singh’s son Ritesh died in a road accident about 30-35 kilometers from here. After this, instead of performing his son’s last rites at the crematorium, Hari Singh conducted it right in front of his house. Had accused brother Jagdish’s family Hari Singh suspected that his brother Jagdish was behind his son’s death. When Jagdish, his wife and children went to his house to express condolences, Hari Singh drove them away in front of the villagers. He had also given threats that day. Since then, due to fear, Jagdish and his children had almost stopped leaving their house. The niece had called – Uncle come quickly Mukesh said that when nephew Kuldeep was being beaten with sticks, his niece Sheetal made the call. She said, “Uncle come quickly, these people will kill us.” The distance from Mukesh’s village to the incident site was about 11 kilometers, so it took him some time to reach. He said, “By the time I reached there, Kuldeep had died. Sheetal was barely breathing, but she also died before reaching the hospital”. Father says – Complained, but no hearing was held The children’s father Jagdish Malviya’s eyes are swollen from crying. He has about 40-50 papers in his hand. As soon as he sits on the cot, he starts showing each paper with dates. He told, “He had made all these complaints several times to the Collector, SP and police station”. Each paper had a different date recorded. He said, “Despite so many complaints, there was no hearing anywhere”. He alleged that the station in-charge even went so far as to say “go die.” The children were like my eyes, they were very intelligent in studies Jagdish emotionally said that both his children were like his eyes. He was thinking that this year he would send both of them elsewhere for further studies. Both were very intelligent in their studies. Worry increased during children’s exam days Jagdish said that from the day the children’s exams started, his restlessness increased. Until the children returned home after giving their papers, he wouldn’t find peace. On March 6, Kuldeep had his last Hindi paper. He was going by bike because he would return home early after giving the paper. That day Jagdish had some work, so Sheetal went with her brother to get him to the exam. Daughter said – Uncle and Aunty came behind on bike He said, “Both left home around 8 in the morning. This was the last time I saw my children. On the way there is about four kilometers of forest and the road remains quite deserted”. He added, “As soon as the children left home, Sheetal called. She said that uncle and aunt came behind on bike and went ahead. Hearing this, I got worried. I told Sheetal to tell Kuldeep to drive the bike slowly and let them go ahead”. Daughter said on phone – Father they killed us Jagdish said, “I started feeling anxious after the children left. After two-three minutes, I called Sheetal again. As soon as she picked up the phone, Sheetal sobbed and said – Father, they have killed brother and me”. He added, “She told me that near the bridge in the valley, uncle attacked them with an axe, sickle and stick. Hearing this, I felt the ground slip beneath my feet. I couldn’t understand what to do. In panic, my head started spinning”. TI asked to bring bodies instead of sending help Jagdish said, “When Mukesh informed the TI about the attack on my children, instead of sending help TI said that if they die, bring the bodies.” He further added, “Police and administration are truly responsible for my children’s deaths. If action had been taken in time, perhaps my children’s lives could have been saved”. The accused has also injured father’s head before The children’s grandfather Gangaram was also sitting nearby. Adjusting the gamcha tied on his head, he said that accused Hari Singh is his eldest son. He added, “About 20 years ago Hari had also injured my head”. I am his father, still I want him hanged Gangaram explained in sorrow and anger, “Both brothers used to live in Sushil Nagar earlier. There Jagdish had received a lease for the house, but Hari Singh had also occupied that land”. Meanwhile, Jagdish’s nephew Abhishek, standing nearby, said that Kuldeep and Sheetal were his aunt’s children. He said, “The police were aware of the entire matter, but still no action was taken. Who is responsible for the death of my brother and sister?” SDOP says – Culprits will not be spared Ashta SDOP Damodar Gupta said, “Every point in this case is being investigated. It is also being investigated where the family had submitted applications and where negligence occurred. The culprits will not be spared”. TI says – Family’s allegations completely false Siddikganj police station in-charge Raju Singh Baghel said, “Two accused have been sent to jail after their court remand ended. As far as the complainant’s application is concerned, FIR was already registered and action was taken on their application. All the allegations made against me are completely false”.
