Gwalior’s Gola Ka Mandir police station has arrested the main accused in the case of firing at a liquor store manager. Police have recovered two illegal weapons, live cartridges, and spent casings from the possession of the accused. The accused is being interrogated, while police teams are raiding to search for his absconding accomplices. According to the police, Yogesh Shivhare, a resident of Roshni Ghar Road, Lashkar, had lodged a complaint at the Gola Ka Mandir police station. Yogesh is the manager of the liquor store located at Gola Ka Mandir. He stated that on the night of June 23, around 11:15 PM, Shivam Vajpayee alias Sukha Pandit, along with his associates Karu Pandit and Anuj Bajpayee, arrived at the liquor store. Fired two shots with a country-made pistol It is alleged that due to an old rivalry over stopping the sale of illegal liquor, the accused first verbally abused him. After this, Shivam Vajpayee fired two shots with a country-made pistol. The bullets hit the trunk of Yogesh’s car. Meanwhile, Karu Pandit also fired in front of the shop. After the incident, the accused fled the scene after threatening to kill him. After the case was registered, the police were searching for the accused. On Wednesday, police received information from an informant that the main accused, Shivam Vajpayee alias Sukha, was present at Bhadauria Ground, Deendayal Nagar, and was preparing to flee. Seeing the police, the accused tried to flee, but the team apprehended him. During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the firing incident along with his accomplices. Based on the accused’s identification, the police recovered one .32 bore pistol, one .315 bore country-made pistol, one live cartridge for each weapon, and one spent shell for each. During the police investigation, the accused’s criminal record also came to light. Action is being taken to present the accused in court.
