A bag containing ₹40 lakh in cash was looted from the employees of a businessman in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam district. The robbery took place around 3 PM on June 29 in the Shehar Sarai area under the Station Road police station limits. The accused were dressed as Blinkit delivery boys and escaped on a scooter after carrying out the crime. Police have registered a case of robbery and criminal intimidation based on the businessman’s complaint and have started an investigation. The businessman, Manish Patwa, told police that his friend Gaurav Sharma holds liquor contracts in Ratlam. As banks remained closed from June 26 to 28, around ₹40 lakh collected from liquor sales between June 25 and 28 had been sent to him for safekeeping. Miscreant snatched bag while taking it upstairs to the house and fled Gaurav’s employee Amit gave this amount to Manish’s employee Fardeen and his father Firoz. After counting the cash, Manish told them to put the money in a black bag and take it upstairs to the house. Meanwhile, a miscreant wearing a Blinkit dress and with his face covered with a cloth arrived there. He threatened Fardeen with death, snatched the bag, and fled towards Gayatri Talkies with his accomplice who was waiting on a scooter outside. Fardeen and Firoz chased the miscreants, but they escaped. The entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras. Police are searching for the accused based on the footage.
