He received an invitation to a party from the other end, and Sapnesh immediately got ready. To escape the pressure from creditors, he had gone to Indore with his wife. Later, when the family repaid the debt, he returned to the village. The villager said that he had again borrowed from many people, so it is possible that he might have gone somewhere again. The last phone call raised suspicion Police obtained Sapnesh’s call details. The investigation revealed that his last conversation before disappearing was with Suryaprakash Patel. Suryaprakash was also his relative. Police took him into custody and interrogated him. His answers, instead of reducing the police’s suspicion, were increasing it. A few days later, the body was found in the pond On January 31, villagers spotted a body in the water of a pond located near Dooda village, a few kilometres from Kareli. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene. Having been in the water for seven days, the body was badly decomposed. Sapnesh was missing, so the police called his family for identification, and the body turned out to be Sapnesh’s. Post-mortem report revealed the truth Initially, the police were investigating both aspects: suicide and accident. Since the body was found in the pond, there was also a suspicion of death by drowning. But the post-mortem report clarified the whole picture. Doctors clarified that Sapnesh’s death was not due to drowning, but due to strangulation. Marks of tightening with something like a wire were found on his neck. It became clear that he was first murdered and then his body was thrown into the pond.
