Content creator Sapan Jadaun posted my photos on social media and labeled me as a corrupt officer. Without any fault, the last three months have been the most stressful days of my life. I have been mentally and physically troubled, especially while I am pregnant. This was stated by Morena transport officer Archana Parihar. She has filed a complaint at the police station against Sapan Jadon, Lata Bhadauria, Shivendra Jadon and three unidentified persons. Apart from her, Sabalgarh municipal council chairman Sonaram Dhakad has also filed a case against Sapan. As a result, FIRs have been registered against Sapan in two different police stations in the district under charges including extortion and the IT Act. He was arrested from Jaipur on February 25 and sent to jail. Meanwhile, Lata Bhadauria and other accused are absconding. Police said all social media accounts of Sapan are being examined and the call detail records (CDR) of his phone are also being checked. Information about his associates is also being gathered. Demanded extortion by threatening to damage reputation Sapan Jadon has been accused by transport officer Archana Parihar and municipal chairman Sonaram Dhakad of demanding extortion money. According to them, Sapan, a resident of Koliya village, first shared threatening posts on social media warning that he would tarnish their reputation. After that, he demanded several lakh rupees. Excerpts from FIRs filed at Kotwali and Sabalgarh police stations FIR-1: Morena transport officer Archana Parihar alleged that Sapan Jadon called her and demanded extortion. Constable Anil Tomar and his wife Lata Bhadauria pressured her to reach a settlement. Parihar said in her complaint that surveillance was carried out from time to time and her routes of movement were being monitored. Sapan himself repeatedly called and informed her about her location. She said she is currently in the final stage of pregnancy and dealing with several medical complications. If anything happens to her, Lata Bhadauria and Sapan Jadon will be responsible. FIR-2: Sabalgarh municipal chairman and BJP leader Sonaram Dhakad registered a case against Sapan Jadon, Shivendra Jadon and three others. He alleged that Sapan threatened on social media to “expose” him in corruption cases. Dhakad stated in his complaint that a link and barcode were sent to his son Nikki’s mobile number XXXXXXX442 from the WhatsApp number of Sapan’s associate Shivendra Jadon, demanding ₹10 lakh. To verify the matter, his son transferred ₹10,000 for testing and the barcode was found to be genuine. After that, Sapan Jadon started pressuring them to pay ₹10 lakh. Similar method of blackmailing Sapan Jadon, Lata Bhadauria, Shivendra Jadon and their associates first selected their targets. They then collected information about them. Photos and videos of the concerned leaders or officers were gathered. Based on partial information, posts such as “corruption will be exposed” were uploaded on social media to create pressure. These posts were circulated across different social media platforms to make them viral. After that, the group would contact the target as per their plan. If the target was a woman, Lata Bhadauria would talk to her. If the target was a man, other associates contacted him. A link or barcode would then be sent to demand money. If the money was not paid, they threatened to expose them on social media. Posted photos on social media, gave threats Transport officer Archana Parihar said, “I am currently on pregnancy leave. The last three months have been the most stressful days of my life. I remained mentally and physically very disturbed.” She said Sapan Jadon posted her photos on social media and described her as a corrupt officer. He also threatened to reveal her “secrets”. Initially, she had no knowledge of this. Office staff later informed her that several posts about her were circulating on social media. When she asked the staff, they showed her the posts in which her name was mentioned and claims of exposing corruption were being circulated across different social media platforms. She was shocked to see this. Later, she began receiving messages suggesting she should speak to Sapan Jadon about the issue. However, she refused to communicate with him. According to Parihar, when she did not respond, Sapan’s associates began visiting her office. They questioned staff members in a threatening tone about why Archana Parihar was not speaking to Sapan Jadon. They even said that she should agree to the proposal or else corruption would be exposed. Asked to settle through meeting Parihar said that one day she was told to resolve the matter by holding a meeting with constable Anil Tomar and his wife Lata Bhadauria. She responded that since she had committed no corruption, there was nothing to settle in any meeting. She said that Anil Tomar and his wife Lata Bhadauria had a departmental dispute related to a tractor case. They had also gone to court over the matter, where the transport department had already received a clean chit twice. Since everything had been clarified in court, there was no question of any settlement. She said she kept repeating the same point. They would do reconnaissance and tell location to employees According to Parihar, after she went on pregnancy leave, surveillance on her began. The accused would go to her office and tell employees that “your madam had gone for a medical check-up today” or “she went to meet a relative today”. When employees told her about this, she became frightened. She started worrying about the safety of herself and her family. Transport officer Archana Parihar said that at one point she received a message saying that if ₹4 lakh were given by her and ₹2 lakh by a clerk, the matter would be closed. After that, such demands continued to come repeatedly. Finally, she informed the Superintendent of Police, after which a case was registered. Parihar said, “After the terrifying time I have faced over the last three months, I do not want anything else now. My priority is only a safe delivery. I do not want to take any more stress. The matter is now with the police.” Posts made accusing Municipal Council President of being involved in corruption According to Sabalgarh municipal council chairman and BJP leader Sonaram Dhakad, Sapan Jadon never spoke to him directly. On January 16, he came to know that Sapan had posted content about him on social media to damage his reputation in society. Dhakad said Sapan posted his photo on social media and used abusive language while accusing him of corruption. This public defamation caused severe mental stress to him and his family. He said that continuous allegations were being made on social media but no evidence was being provided to support them. After a few days, two of Sapan’s associates, Naveen and Shailendra, started appearing live on social media and continued defaming him. Soon after that, a link containing a QR code was sent to Vicky’s WhatsApp number. He was asked to transfer ₹10 lakh through it. Dhakad said that without informing him, Vicky transferred ₹10,000 as a test. Even after that, when the activities of Sapan and his associates did not stop, Vicky informed his father about everything.
