A court in Gwalior has sentenced a woman to life imprisonment for killing her five-year-old son. The Additional Sessions Court gave the verdict on Saturday. The court found the child’s mother guilty based on circumstantial evidence. At the same time, the court acquitted the woman’s lover due to lack of evidence against him. According to the case details, the child had seen his mother with her lover. The mother feared that the child might tell others about it. Because of this fear, she allegedly threw the child from the roof of a two-storey house, which caused his death. Police said the case was solved within 15 days. At first, the incident looked like a normal accident, but later investigation revealed the truth. Did not reach to see the child in the hospital The incident took place on April 28, 2023, in the Thathipur police station area. Jyoti Rathore was on the roof with her lover Uday Indoliya, who lived in the neighborhood. During this, her child Jatin came onto the roof and saw his mother in her lover’s arms. Fearing that her son might tell her husband, Jyoti threw the child down two floors. The child lay writhing on the road, but the mother did not come to see him. Later he was taken to the hospital, but even there the mother did not come to see the child. The child had suffered serious head injuries due to falling from two floors. He was also treated for one day at Jayarogya Hospital. He died the next day, April 29. The family members, especially police constable Dhyan Singh, believed that their son’s foot must have slipped due to carelessness, causing him to fall and die. Secret revealed after 15 days, husband filed a complaint After 15 days, the mother regretted and told her husband Dhyan Singh that she had made a big mistake. This statement made the husband suspicious. He took his wife into confidence, asked her the whole story, and said that mistakes happen to humans. After this, Jyoti broke down and told her husband the whole incident. The constable husband recorded the audio-video of the conversation and also retrieved the footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the house. After the entire incident came to light, the husband reached Thatipur police station with all the evidence and lodged a complaint. The police accused Jyoti Rathore and her lover Uday Indolia and, after completing the investigation, presented the charge sheet in court. During the hearing of the case, Public Prosecutor Vijay Sharma represented the police. The court, finding the mother guilty, sentenced her to life imprisonment, while the lover was acquitted due to insufficient evidence.
