‘maintain-your-dignity’,-says-cm-to-rahul-gandhi:mohan-yadav-accuses-lop-of-misleading-voters;-shivraj-says,-‘people-don’t-vote-for-fishing-or-making-jalebi’

As the first phase of polling began in Bihar on Thursday, political temperatures rose sharply following Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of irregularities in the voter list. Reacting strongly, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hit back, accusing the Opposition leader of spreading confusion and conceding defeat even before votes are counted. Yadav: “Opposition leader trying to mislead people” Speaking to the media at the state hangar in Bhopal before leaving for Bihar for election campaigning, CM Mohan Yadav said, It is unfortunate that when the first phase of polling is underway in Bihar, the Leader of Opposition is bringing up the Haryana elections to mislead voters. His words don’t resonate with anyone. Just like he tried to create a nationwide uproar over EVMs — and the Supreme Court dismissed his claims — he is once again attempting to mislead the public. The Chief Minister further added, I hope he maintains his dignity and refrains from making such statements. Shivraj: “Rahul Gandhi has already accepted defeat” Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, speaking in Delhi, said Rahul Gandhi’s statements are proof that the Opposition has conceded defeat. “Rahul Gandhi has accepted his loss. A day before polling, he accused the ruling alliance of stealing votes. The reality is that people don’t vote for him, and when they don’t, he calls it vote theft,” Chouhan remarked. “People won’t vote for someone who promises to make jalebi or catch fish. The Mahagathbandhan has accepted defeat, and NDA’s grand victory is certain,” he added. “People voting for development and welfare”: Chouhan Shivraj further said that the polling reflects public trust in the NDA government. “The people of Bihar are voting for good governance, development, and welfare. Under Lalu’s rule, Bihar became known for fear, corruption, and hunger. Today, there is faith instead of fear, innovation instead of corruption, and good governance instead of jungle raj,” he said. Chouhan concluded by saying that the ongoing voting itself “tells the story of NDA’s resounding victory.”
