The body of an 18-year-old student was found on a railway track in Ashoknagar. She had left home on Monday to buy a cake and clothes for her younger brother’s birthday. A few hours later, her family received news of her death. Radhika, daughter of Ramswaroop Sharma, had left home around 6 PM. She had left her mobile phone at home. The family was waiting for her return. Preparations for a birthday party were underway at home. When she did not return for a long time, her family started searching for her. During this time, they received information about the body of a young woman found on the railway track. The family members who arrived at the scene identified the body as Radhika’s. Family said – the track does not fall between home and market According to the police, around 8 PM, the station master informed that the train driver reported that a young woman suddenly came in front of the train, leading to her death. Upon receiving the information, the rural police station team reached the spot and sent the body to the district hospital for post-mortem. There is no railway track between Radhika’s home and the market. So, how she reached the track remains a question. In the initial investigation, the police are probing both suicide and accident angles. Rural Police Station In-charge Bhuvnesh Sharma stated that evidence of chatting with two numbers was found in Radhika’s mobile, some messages of which were found deleted. These are also being investigated. Family said – she was under mental stress for 3-4 days The family informed that Radhika had passed her 12th-grade examination this year. She was preparing for college admission. She had been under mental stress for the past three to four days. There are four siblings in the family, among whom Radhika was the second. The father is originally from Kalua Khedi village in Bahadurpur area and has been living on rent in Ashoknagar for 20 years.
