Man remains atop 230ft tower for third day:Expert climber attacked as police appeal in three languages

The person who climbed a BSNL tower, about 230 feet high, located at Teen Sher Chowk in Pandhurna, did not come down even on the third day. Amidst continuous rain and cold, he was seen trying to cover himself with a gamcha (towel). After receiving information, the police, administration, and rescue teams tried to bring him down safely. The station in-charge said that if anyone recognises him or has information about him, they should immediately inform the police. They believe that he can be safely brought down by persuading him through family or acquaintances. Experts say man appears mentally disturbed Expert Rajababu Chaudhary said that the person who climbed the tower seems mentally disturbed. When spoken to, he is giving incoherent answers. When he was asked to eat food, he said, “You go, I will come myself.” It was also mentioned that he has taken biscuits and a water bottle with him. According to the youth, the person has a rod of about 15 feet, and as soon as someone tries to approach him, he attempts to hit or attack. That person is not revealing his name or address, but his age appears to be between 55 and 60 years. He did not state the purpose of climbing up; instead, he is repeatedly talking about sometimes calling the police and sometimes chasing them away.
