Rewa police on Tuesday revealed the arrest of two accused with 3.087 kg of MD drugs. According to the police, the estimated value of the seized drugs in the international market is around Rs 10 crore. Two mobile phones were also seized from the accused. Police said that on July 6, information was received from an informant that Mandap Singh (23) and Gyanbhushan Sharma (27), residents of village Sonvarsha, were going to sell a large quantity of MD drugs on a motorcycle. As soon as the information was received, Garh police station personnel cordoned off the area and apprehended both of them. 3.087 kg MD Drugs Found During Search Police searched both the accused. During this, 3087 grams of MD drugs were recovered from them. According to the police, its estimated value in the international market is around Rs 10 crore. In addition, two mobile phones were also seized. According to the police, cases under the NDPS Act are already registered against both the accused. However, this is their first arrest in an MD drugs case. Investigation also linked to the factory caught in Mauganj Police are now investigating where such a large quantity of drugs was brought from and to whom it was to be supplied. Two days ago, information emerged that the drug consignment seized in Mauganj was destined for Mumbai. For this reason, the police are investigating this case with the suspicion that its links are also connected to interstate gangs and drug traffickers in big cities. Drugs factory exposed in Mauganj Earlier on Sunday night, Mauganj police raided a deserted house in Bijhauli village under Shahpur police station area and exposed a factory manufacturing MD drugs. A large quantity of suspected MD drugs, chemical substances, acids, drug-making equipment, and other materials were recovered from the spot. Police arrested the main accused Chandan Singh, along with Pikchandra Yadav, Ashok Gupta, and Rishabh Sen, in this case. All the accused are residents of Rewa district. They were presented in court on Monday, from where they were sent on a 72-hour police remand. Superintendent of Police Gurukaran Singh said that both the accused are being interrogated. The source of drugs in the case and the role of other people involved are also being investigated.
