Actor Satendra Soni, known for his role in Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’, has accused a film producer-director of fraud and mental harassment in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, alleging he was not paid despite completing the shoot. Soni shared an emotional video on social media detailing his ordeal. Following the video’s release, the Maihar police intervened and safely escorted him and his companions to Mumbai. After returning, the actor thanked the police and everyone who supported him. Reached Maihar for shooting of ‘Pet Palki’ Satendra Soni posted a video crying on social media. In it, he accused film producer-director Pushpendra Singh of not paying him after the shoot, threatening him, and mentally harassing him. Satendra stated that he was called to Maihar for the shooting of the film ‘Pet Palki’. He worked for eight consecutive days, but after the shooting was completed, the producer refused to pay the remuneration. When he asked for money, he was also threatened, which caused him mental stress. Police and local administration safely sent them off After the video surfaced, Maihar police and local administration immediately took notice. The police spoke with Satendra and his companions. The artists stated that they no longer wished to stay and work in Maihar. Following this, the police safely sent them off to Mumbai by train with full security. On Sunday morning, Satendra released another video from Mumbai Railway Station. In it, he informed about safely reaching Mumbai with fellow artists Sridhar Dubey and Pankaj Sharma. Upon reaching Mumbai, he said – Thank you for your support Posting the video, Satendra Soni wrote, We have safely reached Mumbai. Many thanks to Maihar Police and all those who supported us in this difficult time. In the video, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to Maihar SP Avdhesh Pratap Singh, Kotwali TI Animesh Dwivedi, and the entire Maihar Police for their help during the crisis.
