Mandsaur’s police station has busted an illegally operated MD drug manufacturing unit in a major crackdown on synthetic narcotics. During a raid conducted on Tuesday at a concrete house located amid fields near Bajkhedi village, police seized 13.85 kg of MD drugs, 9.109 kg of chemicals, and equipment used for manufacturing the narcotic substance. Two accused have been arrested in connection with the case, while one suspect remains absconding. Police launched a search operation to trace the third accused. The case was officially disclosed by the police on Wednesday morning. According to police, a special team constituted under the direction of SP Vinod Kumar Meena received a tip-off from a reliable informer about large-scale production of synthetic drugs at a house situated amid fields in the Nai Abadi police station area. Acting on the information, the team carried out a planned raid and search operation, exposing the illegal MD drug manufacturing factory. Equipment chemicals for making drugs were also found During the operation, police seized 13 kg 850 grams of MD drugs along with 9 kg 109 grams of chemical substances. Additionally, items used in drug manufacturing were recovered including 2 large steel pots, 3 steel spoons, one steel pan, one steel small pan, one centrifugal machine, one electric induction, one electronic weighing scale, one plastic drum, three plastic buckets, halogen lights used for drying drugs, and other materials. Police arrested two accused from the spot — Sadakat, son of Liyakat Khan (41), a resident of Arora Colony in Patel Nagar near Sanjeet Naka, Mandsaur, and Arif, son of Niyaz Ajmeri (33), a resident of Bajkhedi village. Meanwhile, Tahir, son of Fakruddin Ajmeri and also a resident of Bajkhedi, is absconding. Police teams have been dispatched to trace and arrest him. Factory suspected to be operating for a long time The preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused would bring raw materials from outside and manufacture synthetic drugs like MD in this factory built on the farm. The finished products were supplied to the district and other areas. The police suspect that this factory had been operating for a long time and large-scale drug trafficking was being carried out through it. Based on interrogation of the arrested accused, the police are now investigating the entire network involved in the manufacturing, transportation, and distribution of drugs. It is also being ascertained where the raw materials were brought from and to which areas the finished drugs were sent. The police believe that the investigation may reveal the names of several other people connected to this racket. In the case, crime number 115/2026 has been registered at Nai Abadi police station and a case has been filed under sections 8/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act. Investigation has been started after taking all the seized materials into custody as per procedure. SP said, ‘Entire network will be dismantled’ In a press conference held on Wednesday, SP Vinod Kumar Meena informed that police had conducted a raid at the factory located in Bajkhedi village after receiving information. 13 kg 850 grams of MD drugs, about 19 kg of chemicals and equipment used in drug manufacturing have been recovered from the spot. Two accused have been arrested while one accused is absconding. The SP said that the drug supply and distribution network will be completely dismantled. He stated that it cannot be denied that the accused had been involved in the manufacturing of narcotics for a long time. A thorough investigation of the entire matter is ongoing and as facts emerge, further action will be taken.
