Suresh Kumar Koshta, the father of Ashwini, one of the deceased victims in the infamous Pune Porsche case, has filed an application in a Pune court to cancel the bail of Vishal Agarwal, who is the father of the main accused in the case. Koshta stated that after his daughter’s second death anniversary, the accused made a party video of enjoying themselves with their family. He said the video had gone viral on social media. He alleged that this video was deliberately spread to “rub salt in their wounds”. Koshta has appealed to the court to understand their emotions and cancel the bail of Agarwal. Koshta stated that his daughter was a young engineer working in Pune. A minor driving a car under the influence of alcohol in Pune hit his daughter, resulting in the death of his daughter and a fellow engineer, Anees Awadhiya. In this case, Vishal Agarwal, father of the minor, was also made an accused, and he was granted bail by the Supreme Court on March 10. Koshta claimed that the accused was given VVIP facilities at the police station and later an attempt was made to alter the report. Video of accused’s celebration goes viral Koshta stated that when his family was in deep sorrow on his daughter’s second death anniversary, a video of Vishal Agarwal, released on bail, was made viral on social media. In the video, he is seen dancing and partying with his family and friends. Koshta said, “This was done to reopen our wounds and further hurt our family. Later, a clarification was issued on his (Vishal) behalf that the video was old, but if the video was old, then why was it made viral on social media only after this serious incident?” Pune Police has submitted an application to the court to cancel the accused’s bail. A preliminary hearing on this application also took place in a Pune court on Tuesday. “We urge the court to understand the feelings of the victim’s family and considering this act (party video) of the accused, cancel his bail,” the police told the court.
