A case of molestation involving a woman doctor has come to light at a reputed hospital in Indore’s Vijay Nagar area. A housekeeping employee is accused of entering the doctor’s rest room and behaving inappropriately with her. Following a complaint by the 30-year-old doctor on Thursday, Vijay Nagar Police registered a case against the accused and launched an investigation. Tried to hold her hand and cover her mouth According to the woman doctor’s statement to police, she was resting in the hospital’s rest room during the early hours of the morning when housekeeping employee Nilesh Rayakwar allegedly entered the room silently without permission. When she questioned him about entering without consent, the accused allegedly grabbed one of her hands and attempted to cover her mouth with his other hand. Doctor escaped after pushing accused The doctor resisted, pushed the accused away and ran out of the room shouting for help. Hearing her cries, members of the hospital’s nursing staff rushed to the spot. However, by then, the accused had fled. Following the incident, the doctor informed the hospital management and senior officials. Police were subsequently called to the hospital. The doctor later lodged a formal complaint against Nilesh Rayakwar at the police station. Vijay Nagar Police have registered a case and started searching for the accused. Further investigation into the incident is underway. Finance company manager also accused In a separate case from Vijay Nagar police station limits, a former female employee of a finance company has accused the company’s Operations Manager of molestation and harassment. Based on her complaint, Vijay Nagar Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. According to police, the woman alleged that Operations Manager Kuldeep Rajput behaved inappropriately with her during her employment. She claimed that the accused repeatedly made unwanted physical contact and also followed her while she travelled to and from the office. Woman claims she lost job after complaining The complainant alleged that she informed the company management about the accused’s behaviour, but instead of investigating the matter, the company terminated her employment. She subsequently submitted a written complaint at Vijay Nagar Police Station, following which a case was registered against the accused. Police said the matter is being investigated and statements are being recorded from the individuals concerned. Information is also being gathered from the company management and the accused’s side.
