More than 3.569 million residents across the state participated by submitting feedback. Among individual cities, Indore has climbed to second place nationally. Indore followed closely with 838,744 responses, while Patna registered 699,853 citizen submissions. Online feedback carries 100 marks A total of 500 marks has been allocated for citizen feedback under the survey. Of these, 100 marks will be awarded based on online feedback, while the remaining 400 marks will depend on direct citizen interaction. As part of the assessment, Swachh Survekshan teams will visit cities and interact with around 2,000 residents. Citizens will be asked about cleanliness standards, waste collection services, sanitation arrangements, and the performance of municipal corporations. More than 10 million SMS messages sent The state government launched a large-scale campaign this year to encourage greater public participation. More than 10 million SMS messages were sent across Madhya Pradesh. Under the strategy prepared as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, campaign messages reached over 6 million people through the social media platforms of urban local bodies. Citizens were also made aware of the campaign through waste collection vehicles, newspapers, radio broadcasts, Doordarshan and various audio-visual messages. Door-to-door campaign boosted participation Several cities conducted door-to-door outreach drives to encourage residents to submit online feedback. The Urban Administration Department claims these efforts had a direct impact on citizen participation levels during the survey. According to officials, the campaign had its strongest impact in Bhopal, where public engagement and response rates saw a significant increase.
