A woman and her three young daughters died after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance in Shahdol district on Sunday. The incident took place in Hirwar village, where the victims reportedly fell seriously ill after ingesting the substance. Neighbours rushed them to a hospital, but all four died during treatment. The deceased have been identified as Anita Singh (32), and her daughters Ritika (7), Krishnakumari (4), and Arpita (2). According to neighbours, Anita Singh’s husband works as a driver and had travelled to another city for employment. At the time of the incident, only Anita and her three daughters were present at home. Police officers recorded statements from neighbours and informed the woman’s husband about the tragedy. No suicide note recovered Police said no suicide note has been found so far. Officials added that all possible angles are being examined to determine the circumstances that led to the deaths. Authorities are awaiting further evidence and findings as part of the ongoing investigation.
