The Lokayukta police have caught the Principal and Nodal Officer of Government Higher Secondary School Boys No. 1, Sanyogitaganj, Rajkumar Chelani, accepting a bribe of ₹10k in Indore. The accused is charged with demanding a bribe in exchange for resolving a complaint from a private school. The complaint in the case was filed by Ravi Jaiswal, a resident of Idris Nagar and operator of The International Convent School, with Lokayukta SP Rajesh Sahay. In the complaint, it was stated that a parent had filed a complaint against his school. In exchange for resolving this complaint, Cluster Principal Rajkumar Chelani was demanding a bribe of ₹10k. After receiving the complaint, the Lokayukta team got the matter verified, which confirmed the demand for a bribe. As soon as money was given, team nabbed him On Friday, the principal had called the applicant to school after taking the bribe amount. After this, the Lokayukta trap team became active. As soon as the principal took ₹10k from the applicant, the team of TI Pratibha Tomar and Head Constable Ashish Shukla caught him. Action is being taken against the accused Rajkumar Chelani under Section-7 of the Prevention of Corruption Amendment Act-2018.
