In the case of the suspicious death of Instagram creator Palak Rajak in Gwalior, the main accused and husband, Amit Rajak, surrendered to the police on Saturday. Meanwhile, the case took a new turn after a statement from a woman claiming to be Palak’s sister-in-law. On Saturday afternoon, a woman arrived at the police station and claimed to be Palak’s sister-in-law, alleging that Palak was addicted to alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana. The woman also said that she used to make reels with boys. After these allegations, Palak’s father Mohar Singh Rajak said, “If my daughter was doing drugs, then who brought all this to her at her in-laws’ place? If there is evidence, bring it forward, but don’t defame my dead daughter.” We don’t even know this woman Mohar Singh Rajak also said that at the time of marriage, he was informed about four brothers, including Amit, but he didn’t even know this woman. He raised the question of who this woman is who is openly making such allegations. The family has also mentioned filing a complaint in the matter. Mother-in-law and brother-in-law still absconding Meanwhile, the police had registered a case on May 21 against husband Amit Rajak, mother-in-law Meera Rajak, and brother-in-law Aakash Rajak under sections of dowry harassment and abetment to suicide. On Saturday, Amit surrendered before the police, while the other two accused are still reported to be absconding. FSL team arrived for investigation after 3 days Questions are also being raised about the investigation process in the case. The relatives allege that evidence was destroyed from the crime scene after the incident. They say that the FSL team arrived three days later, and the site was not immediately secured. Why are questions being raised about the investigation? Social media post before death drew attention On April 24, on her first wedding anniversary, Palak had posted a reel which read, “Whatever paths led to destruction, I entered all of them with VIP entry.” Apart from this, in her last reels, she had used words like panic attack, anxiety, depression, and sleepless nights. ‘Brother, take me away, otherwise they will kill me’ The deceased’s brother, Prince, said that at 6:14 PM on May 12 (exactly half an hour before her death), Palak’s last call came. She was crying hysterically and screaming, “Brother, come quickly and take me away from here, otherwise these people will kill me.” Prince had just left home to save his sister when a call came from the in-laws’ family saying that Palak was in the hospital. When the brother reached the district hospital, Palak’s body was lying on a stretcher. June 30 was Palak’s 22nd birthday, which now remains incomplete forever. Injury marks and signs of struggle on the body Palak’s brother alleges that since the marriage, her mother-in-law and brother-in-law have been continuously demanding a car. The FDR (Fixed Deposit Receipt) received from her maternal home at the time of marriage was also forcibly broken by her in-laws, and the money was extorted. Deep injury marks have been found on Palak’s neck, legs, and other parts of her body in the hospital.
