In Ratlam’s Alot, action has been taken in the Patwari Ravi Shankar Kharadi suicide case amid growing protests. Collector Misha Singh has suspended Naib Tehsildar Savita Rathore. Since Tuesday night, the deceased’s family members and the Patwari association have been staging a protest at the police station, demanding registration of a case against the Naib Tehsildar. On Wednesday morning, the family refused to allow the post-mortem of the body until an FIR was registered and sat on a dharna at the medical college. Currently, the family, along with Sailana MLA Kamleshwar Dodiyar and JAYS leaders, are firm on their demand, while administrative officials are continuously trying to persuade them. Refusal to undergo post-mortem, officials explaining while sitting on the ground On Wednesday morning, the family remained firm on not allowing the post-mortem. They said further proceedings would only take place after an FIR is filed against the Naib Tehsildar. A large number of community members and Patwaris gathered at the medical college and continued the protest there. To control the situation, Additional Collector Dr Shalini Srivastava and SDM Archi Harit reached the spot. Both officials sat on the ground among the family members and tried to persuade them, but they did not agree. Along with the protesting family and Patwaris, Sailana MLA Kamleshwar Dodiyar, District Panchayat Vice-President Keshuram Ninama, Dinesh Mal and other JAYS leaders also joined the sit-in. Karni Sena family head Jeevan Singh also joined the protest. Despite the suspension, the protesters remain firm on the demand for an FIR against the Naib Tehsildar.
