A Class 10 student living in Bhopal’s Habibganj area died after hanging herself at home on Tuesday night. Family members took her down and rushed her to hospital, where she died during treatment early Wednesday. In their statements to police, relatives said she was distressed over poor exam results. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation. After post-mortem on Wednesday afternoon, the body was handed over to the family. According to police, Monika Raikwar (17), daughter of Ramkrishna Raikwar, lived at 6 Number Stop in Shivaji Nagar. Her father is a government employee, while her mother works in the private sector. Parents had gone to work Both parents had gone to work on Tuesday. Before they returned, the girl hanged herself at home. When they arrived, they found her hanging, though she was still alive. They immediately brought her down and took her to hospital, where she later died during treatment. No suicide note found Police did not find any suicide note at the spot. Investigating officer ASI Yashwant Singh said family members stated she was upset due to poor Class 10 results and took the step in depression.
