A video surfaced on Friday night shows a brutal assault on two truck-driver brothers from Rajasthan in Ratlam district. The incident took place on Wednesday night at a tea stall near Bilpank, where eight men allegedly attacked the brothers with sticks, iron rods and kicks, killing the younger sibling. Police have registered a murder case and arrested seven accused, who were produced in court and sent on two-day police remand. A minor has been sent to a juvenile home, while one injured accused is undergoing treatment in Ahmedabad. ‘He will die,’ a voice warned, attackers ignored The 1-minute-34-second video shows the drivers being mercilessly beaten inside the shop. One of them is seen pleading for help, but no one intervenes. Voices in the clip can be heard saying, “Take it outside,” and “He will die,” but the assault continues. When the elder brother tried to save the victim, he too was attacked and struck with rods after falling. Another video of the incident had surfaced earlier on Thursday. Trigger: Water splash mistaken for spitting The victims, Uday Singh Tanwar (42) and Bhagwan Singh Tanwar (39), residents of Chhoti Sadri in Rajasthan, were transporting goods in separate trucks—papaya and cotton—towards different destinations before meeting en route and travelling together. Near Saturunda on the four-lane highway, water droplets from one truck splashed onto bikers behind, who mistook it for spitting and attempted to stop the vehicle. Uday Singh drove ahead and stopped at a tea stall near Bilpank Fanta. The bikers followed, leading to an argument. Bhagwan Singh also reached the spot soon after. Attack escalates, younger brother dies As tensions escalated, the bikers allegedly called others to the spot and launched a violent attack using sticks and iron rods. Both brothers were critically injured and rushed to Ratlam Medical College, where Bhagwan Singh died during treatment. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem on Thursday, while the injured brother was taken home by relatives. Case filed, cross FIR registered Bilpank police have booked eight people, including a 16-year-old minor. Seven accused have been arrested, while one injured accused is under treatment in Ahmedabad. Police have also registered a cross FIR based on a complaint from the accused side.
