A major traffic jam lasting over one hours brought movement to a halt on the Betul–Nagpur National Highway in Madhya Pradesh on Friday night. Hundreds of vehicles, including ambulances, buses, and trucks, were stuck in long queues on both sides of the road. Dispute at check post triggers blockade The incident began around 8 PM near the Sasundra check post on the Multai–Nagpur stretch. Passengers, including elderly people and children, were left stranded for hours. Ambulances and public transport buses were also caught in the jam, causing serious inconvenience and raising concerns over emergency response delays. Police step in to control situation Upon receiving information, a police team from Saikheda police station reached the spot. Officers tried to calm the agitated drivers and restore order. Authorities are currently working to clear the traffic and resume normal movement. While the situation remains tense, officials have assured that the road will be cleared soon. Situation under control, efforts ongoing Police and local administration continue efforts to resolve the issue and ensure smooth traffic flow.
