Muthoot FinCorp has become the title sponsor for the next two domestic seasons of Indian cricket. The company has secured the title sponsorship rights for international and domestic matches held in India until 31 March 2028. Around 35 international matches will be played at home during this period. The sponsorship will be presented under the name Blue Muthoot. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the deal was negotiated at a base price of ₹4.85 crore per match. However, the status of the base price will become clear only after the BCCI issues its official statement. The impact will be seen from the West Indies ODI series During this period, India will play 10 Tests, 12 ODIs and 13 T20 Internationals. The deal will take effect immediately. Its impact will be seen in the ODI series against the West Indies, beginning on 27 September. The notable aspect is that the first match of the series will be played in Kerala, Muthoot’s home state. The first ODI will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on 27 September. Established in 1997, Muthoot FinCorp is a company owned by the Muthoot family of Kochi. Why was there a delay in announcing the new sponsor? IDFC First Bank was the sponsor for the past 3 years IDFC First Bank was the BCCI’s title sponsor from September 2023 to August 2026. Under the three-year deal, the bank was the title sponsor for both men’s and women’s international and domestic matches held in India. For this, IDFC First Bank paid the BCCI ₹4.2 crore per match. After the deal ended in August 2026, the BCCI began looking for a new title sponsor.
