A minor girl from Pandhurna traveled around 1500 km to Ludhiana to meet her boyfriend. She left home without informing her family on December 20, 2025. Her family filed a missing complaint the next day. The girl had become friends with Sachin Jha on Snapchat about one and a half years ago. Over time, they stayed in touch regularly, and their friendship eventually turned into a relationship. Journey to Ludhiana Before leaving, the girl withdrew ₹4000 from her bank account. She boarded a train and reached Ludhiana after a 28-hour journey. After arriving at the railway station, she called Sachin using someone else’s phone. Boy asked her to return, she refused According to Sachin, he had earlier advised her not to come. Even after meeting her at the station, he asked her to return home as she was a minor. However, she refused to go back. He then took her to his place and kept her in a separate room. Police traced her through social media Since the girl left her mobile phone at home, police initially struggled to trace her. Later, with the help of cyber cell and by checking her social media accounts, they identified her connection with Sachin and tracked his location in Ludhiana. Recovered after three months Police reached Ludhiana on March 11 and recovered the girl. Both were taken back to Madhya Pradesh for further proceedings. Girl’s statement in court In court, the girl said she was a minor when she left home but has now turned an adult. She stated that Sachin is her friend and did not do anything wrong. She also confirmed that she was kept in a separate room. Based on her statement, the court ordered Sachin’s release, stating that the girl had gone on her own and no wrongdoing was found.
