After discussing the availability of petroleum products in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday in Bhopal, Dr. Mohan Yadav has instructed continuous monitoring of petrol-diesel and cooking gas. The government says that there is currently no shortage of petroleum products in the state and supply is continuing normally. After the cabinet meeting, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kashyap informed that there is adequate availability of petrol-diesel and domestic gas in the state. The supply of domestic gas cylinders is being continuously maintained and common consumers will not face any kind of problem. Ban on commercial cylinder delivery Minister Kashyap informed that following the instructions of the Government of India, the delivery of commercial gas cylinders has been stopped in Madhya Pradesh from Monday. Considering the war-like situations ongoing in the Gulf countries, the central government’s decision has been implemented in the state. He said that there is sufficient stock of petroleum products in the supply system and the war situation will not have any major impact on the state. Fear of panic spreading from social media Meanwhile, Ajay Singh, President of Bhopal Petroleum Dealers Association, said that there is currently no problem with supply. Dealers are receiving regular supply upon placing orders. However, he expressed apprehension that videos related to petrol-diesel shortage in Pakistan and Bangladesh could be shared on social media to try and create a panic situation here. He said that the government and administration should monitor such activities on social media so that no kind of rumor spreads among the people. This is the consumption in the state According to Ajay Singh, Madhya Pradesh consumes approximately 1200 metric liters of petrol and 1600 metric liters of diesel annually. He said that petrol-diesel can be stocked, but this is not possible in the case of LPG (cooking gas), hence, more monitoring is necessary for it. Domestic Gas Supply Normal Meanwhile, RK Gupta, a representative of the LPG Dealers Association, informed that the supply of commercial cylinders is currently stopped, but the supply of domestic gas is normal. He informed that a meeting of the Bhopal District Administration is proposed for Tuesday evening at 4 PM regarding this issue, in which the situation will be reviewed and further decisions can be taken. Three-member committee of ministers and officials will monitor Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a meeting in the presence of ministers regarding the situation created by the war in the Gulf countries. In this meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that better management will be done in Madhya Pradesh to deal with the emerging circumstances and potential challenges before the world and the country. He said that a three-member committee of ministers and officials will monitor the state’s supply system and take all steps to maintain supply. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is constantly in touch with the central government for the repatriation of Indian citizens, especially residents of Madhya Pradesh, who are living in Gulf countries, or have gone on work visas or for tourism. So far, 255 people have contacted through the state government’s helpline, and efforts are being intensified for their safe return to the homeland. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, along with all ministers including In-charge Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Kailash Makwana, Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister’s Office) Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Rashmi Arun Shami, Secretary Transport and Commissioner Public Relations Manish Singh, and other departmental officers were also present in the meeting.
