India win T20 World Cup:Madhya Pradesh celebrates with fireworks in Bhopal, Jabalpur; Vijayvargiya Dances in Rajwada

India national cricket team won the T20 World Cup for the third time after defeating New Zealand national cricket team in the final. With the victory, India also became the first team to win the tournament twice consecutively, and it marked the first time a host nation has won the T20 World Cup. Soon after the win, celebrations erupted across the country, including in several cities of Madhya Pradesh. In cities such as Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur, thousands of cricket fans took to the streets waving the Indian tricolour. Fireworks lit up the night sky as supporters celebrated the historic win. Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav hails Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel for their on field contributions that led Indian team to a massive victory against New Zealand. People were seen distributing sweets, dancing to music played on DJs and drums, and cheering loudly for Team India. Across many neighborhoods, fans had gathered earlier to watch the match together on large screens set up at city squares, cafés, dhabas and residential colonies. As soon as India’s victory was confirmed, loud cheers and celebrations broke out. Fans celebrate Indian Team’s win nationwide, with fans praising the team’s performance and marking another milestone in India’s cricket history. Dhar: Youth celebrate with music and dance In Dhar’s Dhamanod, young fans celebrated by playing live bands in moving cars. Enthusiastic youths waved the national flag, danced, and chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Fireworks, drums, and energetic street celebrations continued late into the night. Women also joined in, adding to the festive atmosphere in Dhar Bagh. Indore: Rajwada sees massive celebrations In Indore, the historic Rajwada area witnessed massive celebrations. Cricket lovers danced to the beats of drums, while Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and MLA Golu Shukla joined the crowd. Vijayvargiya waved the tricolour from his car roof and danced along with the people, sharing the joy of India’s victory. Spiritual leaders praise Team India Dhirendra Krishna Shastri congratulated Team India, lauding the players’ hard work, strategy, and passion. He stated that “Panauti” is nothing ahead of passion,” while Bageshwar Maharaj called the victory a proud moment for the entire country. Fireworks and festivities across cities Cities including Bhopal, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, and Gwalior witnessed jubilant celebrations. In Chhindwara, youth danced to the sound of truck horns. In Bhopal, Mahakal Bhakta Mandal organised celebrations with drums, gulal, and fireworks, creating a Holi- and Diwali-like atmosphere. Fans at Indore’s Bhanwarkuan and Rajwara areas waved flags, burst crackers, and chanted patriotic slogans late into the night. Shajapur and other regions join the celebrations In Shajapur, large screens were set up for fans to watch the match. As India won, the entire city erupted in celebration with colors and fireworks. Gwalior’s Maharaja Bada also saw crowds bursting crackers, waving the tricolour, and cheering for Team India.
