6 wagons of goods train derail:Rail traffic halted on Katni–Bilaspur section, siren sounded in Jabalpur

On the Katni-Bilaspur railway section of Jabalpur Railway Division, 6 wagons of a coal-laden goods train derailed around 10 AM on Saturday. Due to the accident, both up and down tracks were completely blocked. As soon as the information was received, the danger siren sounded at the railway station and there was a commotion. DRM Kamal Talreja reached the spot along with officials. Half a dozen passenger trains and more than 24 goods trains were affected by the accident. Repair work was carried out on a war footing, with the aim of normalizing traffic by 8 PM.
