Mehli Mistry, who was close to Ratan Tata, has decided to step down from the Kolkata-based Tata Medical Centre Trust. His term will end on 30 September, and he has said he will not take up the responsibility again. Mehli Mistry informed the trust of his decision by email on 15 September. He told the CEO of Tata Medical Centre that his decision to step down should be recorded in the official records. Mistry also sent the email to the other family trustees, including Noel Tata, the new chairman of Tata Trusts. Before leaving RNT Associates, he had already stepped down from his positions at two other charitable trusts linked to Ratan Tata.
