In Sehore, a 26-year-old tribal woman poured petrol over herself and set herself ablaze in broad daylight. Seeing this, villagers immediately doused the flames with water and alerted the police. With the help of 112, the woman was rushed to Bhairunda Civil Hospital. She received initial treatment there, but her condition remained critical, prompting a referral to Bhopal for further care. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM on Sunday in Ladkui village. Sehore SP Deepak Shukla identified the woman as Vinita, wife of Sunil Uike (26), resident of Gondi Guradia, formerly of Ladkui village. Vinita set herself on fire in Ladkui town by pouring petrol on herself and igniting it with a matchstick. The executive magistrate (Naib Tehsildar) recorded her statement. However, the exact reason behind her self-harm attempt remains unknown. Considering the severity of her injuries, she was referred to Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal.
