The Madhya Pradesh government is set to once again place a proposal before the Cabinet to formally separate Pachmarhi town from the Pachmarhi Sanctuary. The Mohan Yadav–led Cabinet is expected to approve the proposal in its meeting today. Earlier, the Cabinet had taken a decision based on Supreme Court directions, but due to a technical error in the proposal, Pachmarhi town could not be excluded from the sanctuary limits. To rectify this, the government has decided to bring the proposal again, seeking formal approval to clearly demarcate the boundaries of Pachmarhi Sanctuary and Pachmarhi town. Development works in Tiger Reserve buffer zone Along with the boundary demarcation, the Cabinet is also likely to approve proposals related to development works in the buffer zone of the Pachmarhi Tiger Reserve, as recommended by the Forest Department. First cabinet meeting after Republic Day This is the first Cabinet meeting after Republic Day. During the meeting, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will also share his experiences from the recent Davos visit, including details of investment proposals received during the trip. Discussions on the government’s upcoming priorities are also on the agenda.
