Public Works Department Minister and minister-in-charge Rakesh Singh, who visited Government Higher Secondary School, Khajri in Chhindwara to attend the Republic Day program and hoist the flag, expressed strong displeasure over mismanagement in the midday meal. After the cultural programs and during the school’s meal arrangement, he advised the staff and directed them to improve the arrangements. Seeing a crowd of BJP workers and leaders instead of children in the dining hall, the minister objected. He said, ‘This program is for children, not for leaders.’ The situation became awkward once again when preparations were made to serve food to the minister before the children. On this, Minister Rakesh Singh said, We have come to attend the children’s program. First, serve food to the children. Workers sent to next line Actually, BJP leaders and workers had sat in the dining hall. Only a handful of children were present. Seeing this, Minister Rakesh Chaudhary advised the school staff. He asked the workers to sit in the next line. Despite this, only two students were seen sitting near the minister. In the remaining places, BJP District President Shesh Rao Yadav, Collector Harendra Narayan, Mayor Vikram Ahke, and Bharia Development Authority Chairman Dinesh Angaria were seated. In other places too, leaders and workers had taken plates and sat instead of children.
