Bhopal police have uncovered shocking details in the case of 26 tons of beef seized on the night of December 17 in front of the Police Headquarters. Interrogations reveal that while the beef was being sent to Arab countries, the bones were exported to China. Aslam Qureshi, also known as Chamda, who runs the slaughterhouse, is the main accused. He was questioned for around 16 hours by two officers from Thursday to Friday night. Aslam is reportedly misleading the police and refusing to admit that the seized meat belonged to him. He told investigators that the meat was only packed at his slaughterhouse but actually belonged to a well-known agro-food company in Agra. Police have also collected information about his business partners and associates. They are investigating the role of Dr. Beni Prasad Gaur, who examined the animals before slaughter. Truck driver Shoaib has also provided key information. He admitted receiving 10,000 to 15,000 rupees per trip but claimed he did not know the container was carrying beef. Business is also spread in foreign countries Aslam’s business is spread across foreign countries. Police have also received information about Aslam’s business being linked to China. Interrogation in this regard is ongoing. During interrogation, Aslam stated that his goods were sent to Mumbai via shipping containers and from there supplied to Gulf countries. Meanwhile, Aslam’s business is also spread across several states like Bihar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Maharashtra. Aslam himself confirmed this during interrogation. Both accused are on remand till January 25 Aslam Chamda and his driver Shoaib have been taken on remand till January 25 on a production warrant. According to ACP Umesh Tiwari, the accused are being continuously interrogated in connection with the case. Municipal Corporation’s irregularities came to light In the case of cows being slaughtered and beef being sent to Mumbai from the Municipal Corporation’s slaughterhouse located in Jinsi, the direct role of the Municipal Corporation administration has come to light. The letter issued by the Municipal Corporation’s veterinary officer, on the basis of which permission was given to take the meat out of the slaughterhouse, has also surfaced. Permission related to starting the slaughterhouse was given by the MIC. This proposal was not even brought before the council. Due to this, Veterinary Doctor Beni Prasad Gaur was suspended by Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh. These employees were suspended from the slaughterhouse Waseem Khan, Salim Khan, Raja Khan, Sheikh Yusuf, Waheed Khan, Mohammad Fayyaz Khan, Isa Mohammad, and Abdul Rahman, who were deployed at the slaughterhouse, have been suspended. Meanwhile, notices have been served to Yusuf Khan, Abdul Hakeem, and Mohammad Rafiq. File seized from Municipal Corporation office On Friday, the police seized files and documents related to the slaughterhouse from the Municipal Corporation. These include tenders, permission letters, and other records from 2014-15 to date. Two employees, including in-charge Assistant Engineer Saurabh Sood, have been called to Jahangirabad police station for questioning for two consecutive days. Minister Sarang had said, the harshest punishment will be given Meanwhile, on the matter, Minister Vishwas Sarang has said that no one will be spared in cases of beef or cow slaughter. Whether it is a trader or an officer, the strictest action will be taken if found guilty. The government’s intention is clear that such action should be taken that sets an example for the future. He said that if the slaughter of the cow is proven, it will not be considered a normal crime, but a serious crime like murder, and a case will be registered against the culprits under strict sections, and the harshest punishment will be given. Minister Sarang said that Gomata (cow) is the center of Indian culture and faith, and the government is fully committed to its protection. He said that instructions have been given to the administration that no negligence or laxity should be shown in the investigation and the strictest action should be ensured against the culprits according to the law.
