Cricket enthusiasm has surged across Saurashtra and Gujarat, especially in Rajkot, with an international match scheduled early in the new year. The second One Day International (ODI) between India and New Zealand will be played on January 14 at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Khanderi, located on Jamnagar Road. Preparations for the match are underway under the supervision of the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA). Ticket prices announced, online booking open The Saurashtra Cricket Association has officially announced ticket prices for the match. Tickets are priced between ₹1,500 and ₹7,000, and online booking has begun on BookMyShow. The stadium has been divided into three main sections, East Stand, West Stand, and South Pavilion, with different pricing slabs. In addition, special corporate boxes have been arranged to provide premium and VIP facilities to spectators. Stand-wise ticket rates For the match, East Stand Level 1, 2 and 3 tickets are priced at ₹1,500. In the West Stand, Level 1 tickets cost ₹2,000, while Level 2 and Level 3 tickets are priced at ₹2,500 each. The West Stand corporate box ticket is the most expensive at ₹7,000. In the South Pavilion, ticket prices range from ₹3,000 to ₹7,000. Level 1 tickets are priced at ₹7,000, Level 2 at ₹5,000, and Level 3 at ₹3,000. Corporate box tickets in this section are available for ₹6,000. New Zealand team to play in Rajkot for first time According to the schedule released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the New Zealand team is touring India and will play an ODI in Rajkot for the first time. So far, 12 international matches have been hosted at the Khanderi stadium, including 3 Test matches, 6 T20 internationals and 4 ODIs. In January 2025, the Indian women’s cricket team also played in Rajkot for the first time and registered a 3-0 ODI series win against Ireland. Heavy turnout expected to watch star players The Indian squad for the Rajkot ODI has been announced, with Shubman Gill leading the team. The squad includes Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and others.
