Heart attack caught on CCTV at Khandwa mosque:Jama Masjid committee member collapses during ablution, dies within seconds

Haji Sheikh Aleem Contractor (56), a member of the Mosque Committee, who had come to offer Isha prayers at the Jama Masjid in Hariganj, Khandwa, on Thursday night, suffered a heart attack while performing ablution (wudu), leading to his death within seconds. The entire incident was captured by the CCTV camera installed in the mosque. Its video surfaced two days later. Haji Sheikh Aleem Contractor had been associated with the Mosque Committee for about 20 years. On Thursday night, he arrived at the mosque as usual and walked to the ablution area (wudukhana). After performing ablution, he was sitting on the stairs waiting for the Azaan to finish, when he suddenly fell to the ground. Before people present in the mosque could understand anything, his breathing had stopped. Advocate Ashfaq Khan, treasurer of the Mosque Committee, said that he was immediately taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Family members said – Alim was completely healthy
On Friday, he was laid to rest in the big cemetery in the presence of family members and community members. Family members stated that Alim the contractor was completely healthy. He did not have any serious illness or complaint beforehand. Due to this sudden incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the mosque premises and the area.
