A truck loaded with maize fell into a 200-foot deep gorge, leaving the driver trapped for three days in the Sillewani valley of Sausar Tehsil, Pandhurna district. The incident came to light on Thursday morning. Truck had been traveling from Chand to Boragaon Truck owner Ravi Baghel said that the truck had departed from Chand village on Tuesday, destined for the industrial area in Boragaon, a journey of approximately 130 kilometres. However, even after three days, the truck had not reached its destination. With no update, Baghel tried contacting the driver, Asif Khan, a resident of Seoni, but his mobile phone was switched off. He then used the truck’s GPS system and discovered that the vehicle had fallen into a blind curve in the Sillewani Valley. Asif Khan’s leg was trapped under the truck, and he had been stuck in that condition for three days. After strenuous efforts, the rescue team managed to safely extract the driver. The truck was also pulled out of the gorge after several hours of operation using more than three cranes. Driver referred to Chhindwara district hospital Umranala police station in-charge Parasnath Armo said the injured driver was rescued and immediately referred to Chhindwara District Hospital.
