A woman from Rewa is in deep trauma after her husband recorded a private video of their relationship and uploaded it online. The 7-month-old marriage has been shattered. She has approached the police, and the accused husband is now on the run. The case has highlighted issues of harassment, dowry demands, and threats against women. Victim files complaint On December 10, the woman filed a complaint at the Saman Police Station in Rewa. She stated that her husband made a 13-minute, 14-second intimate video of her and made it viral online. The police registered an FIR against the accused, who is currently absconding. Husband’s motive: Money and fame Police investigations revealed that the husband was addicted to watching porn videos. He wanted to become a “pornstar” by uploading videos online and earn money. Despite the wife’s protests, he forced her to record the video. He admitted doing it deliberately and showed no remorse. Life after marriage The woman said they got married on May 10 through an arranged marriage. Initially, her husband spoke sweetly and promised to keep her happy. However, behind his words, he had a hidden agenda. She comes from a poor family and had no choice but to trust him. ‘I’m your husband, not boyfriend who will make it viral’ The victim revealed that her husband told her he wanted to record a porn video with her. She opposed the idea, but he began pressuring her. Shocked, she asked, “Why are you saying such strange things?” She said, “You are my husband, so how can you record a porn video with me? You have full rights over me, but I am not here to make such videos. Nowadays, a small mistake can ruin one’s honour.” Despite her objections, he refused to listen. He insisted, “I am your husband. You must do as I say. I am not your boyfriend who would make this video viral. I am your husband, so I also care about your honour, but the video must be made.” Dowry demands The woman’s brother stated that the marriage also involved dowry tension. The husband had demanded Rs 3 lakh before the wedding. Rs 2 lakh were paid, but he continuously pressured the family for the remaining amount. Death threats and family fear The victim said her husband is threatening to kill her, her brother, and other family members. He has threatened to use a knife and pistol. The family now lives in fear and keeps their doors locked. Husband’s current location The accused husband has fled to Mumbai. Police teams are preparing to raid his location and arrest him. CSP Rajiv Pathak said a thorough investigation will continue into his porn addiction and related crimes. Police take case seriously This case is treated as a serious crime against women. The police are investigating every aspect, including threats, harassment, and dowry-related abuse. The victim remains under immense mental stress.
