Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Congress during his visit to Indore on Sunday, stating that the opposition kept problems alive by making allegations, while the BJP government focuses on eliminating them. The Chief Minister made the remarks while speaking to the media at the airport before attending the wedding of BJP MLA Golu Shukla’s son. CM highlights development push Dr. Yadav said that in the past two years, his government has prioritised programmes for the youth and the economically weaker sections. He highlighted the rapid expansion of irrigation capacity from 42 lakh hectares to 100 lakh hectares as one of the major achievements under the BJP administration. He added that several large-scale infrastructure and rural development projects are progressing at high speed and will significantly boost the state’s growth trajectory. Congress’ double standard on naxalism Taking aim at the Congress over its handling of naxalism, Dr. Yadav alleged that the previous government allowed the extremist problem to intensify due to weak political leadership. He said: During Congress rule, Naxalism grew unchecked. Their own minister was killed by Naxalites. The root of the problem was the then Chief Minister, who now expresses sorrow over Hidma’s death. Calling it a clear example of the Congress’ ‘double standards,’ the Chief Minister said several districts have now become free from Naxal influence because of decisive action taken by the current government. CM blesses newlyweds After the media interaction, Dr. Yadav reached the residence of MLA Golu Shukla, where he congratulated the newly married couple and greeted local party workers. He also took the breakfast at the event and enjoyed flavours of Rabdi.
