In Rewa, a man made an obscene video of his wife and circulated it on social media late Tuesday night, prompting police to register a case. Allegedly, just seven months after marriage, he had demanded Rs 3 lakh as dowry, and when it was not paid, he committed the act in a ‘show-off’ frenzy. After the video surfaced, he also threatened to kill his wife and her brother. The accused is currently absconding, with his location traced to Mumbai. Probe reveals porn addiction Police investigation revealed that the accused husband, addicted to porn sites, idolised the actors and wanted to emulate them. In this obsession, he recorded a 13-minute 14-second video of private moments with his wife. When confronted about the video going viral, he admitted doing it deliberately, expressing no regret and wanting people to watch it to gain popularity. Wife said – Not a human, but a beast The victim stated that her husband has also sent this video to relatives and friends. The victim said, The lunatic husband sent the dirty video even to relatives. He left me unable to show my face anywhere. Now, even if I want to, I cannot change people’s perception. He destroyed my life. He did this deliberately. He is not a human, but a beast. Now, calls are coming from everywhere asking what your husband is sending. Now, I don’t understand whether I should answer everyone or what I should do. The victim’s brother stated, My younger sister got married on May 10 this year. It’s been just 7 months since the wedding. My sister’s husband was continuously angry because he didn’t get the desired dowry, and in this anger, he took this step. He wanted us to give him millions of rupees more, so that he could live a lavish life. This is why he continuously harassed us and my sister. He kept demanding dowry. When we didn’t give the dowry, he took this heinous step. Location in Mumbai, arrest soon Initially, a zero FIR was registered at the same police station, but after the video surfaced, the police showed seriousness and registered a case. Police have learned that the accused husband has gone into hiding in Mumbai. According to CSP Rajeev Pathak, a police team may raid the location, and the accused will soon be in police custody.
