The 30-share Sensex and 50-companies Nifty were up in the opening trade, albeit investor sentiment remained mixed. On the one hand, continued sell-off in Artificial Intelligence (AI) stocks on a worldwide scale weighed on investors’ minds, but on the other, India-US LPG deal was seen as a positive development regarding the signing of the first phase of the highly awaited trade deal between the two countries. Sensex is trading at 84,700 and Nifty at 25,900. IT and banking shares are up. Meanwhile, finance and energy shares are down.
