Ankit Rathore, a young builder from Indore, was stabbed to death late Friday night in the Malharganj area. He was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries. Police have launched a search for the accused, who attacked him over a personal dispute. Victim identified The deceased has been identified as Ankit Rathore, son of Raju Rathore, and a resident of Teli Bakhal. He was known to be a supporter of Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya. Dispute led to murder The attack is said to be the result of a three-day-old argument. Ankit reportedly had a quarrel with the accused, Lalu Pandit, during which he slapped him. Out of revenge, Lalu Pandit, along with his accomplice Raju Pandit, attacked Ankit with a knife. Hospitalised but declared dead After the stabbing, people rushed Ankit to a nearby hospital. Despite treatment, doctors declared him dead. Police reach quickly, investigation underway Malharganj police reached the spot within 10 minutes and cordoned off the area. TI Virendra Kushwah said both accused are residents of the same locality. Police have raided their possible hideouts and relatives’ homes. Information also suggests that a temple-related dispute may be behind the murder. Investigations are ongoing. Family background Ankit was married just two years ago. He has one sister, while his brother works in Mumbai Film City. His father, Raju Rathore, is an office-bearer of the community and associated with the Sangh.
