MP to stop printing stamp papers:E-stamps to replace paper versions; state to save over ₹30 cr annually

Madhya Pradesh is preparing to completely stop the printing of stamp papers. All stamp papers for land, house registration, affidavits, and rent agreements will be available only in digital form. Every year, the government spends about Rs 30 to 35 crore on printing and delivering stamp papers to vendors. Switching to digital stamps will save this cost. Easier tracking and less misuse The Electronic Stamping System (ESS) was introduced in MP in July 2013. This system allows stamp papers to be purchased online through authorised vendors.
