An American Airlines flight had to return to Las Vegas. This happened after smoke and sparks came from an engine. The flight, numbered 1665, was going to Charlotte. The plane landed safely with 153 passengers and six crew. No one was hurt. The aircraft is now under maintenance. The FAA is investigating the incident.
