Following Dainik Bhaskar Digital’s sting operation, three Lokayukta Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been removed. The action involves Lokayukta SPs posted in the Bhopal, Sagar and Rewa divisions. Earlier, action had already been taken against two DSPs and three employees. Lokayukta DG Yogesh Deshmukh issued the orders. According to the order, SP Durgesh Kumar Rathore has been shifted from the Lokayukta office in Bhopal division to Sagar division. Lokayukta SP Yogeshwar Sharma has been transferred from Sagar division to Rewa division. Meanwhile, Sunil Patidar, who was posted in Rewa division, has been assigned charge of the Bhopal division 3 employees suspended after sting On Thursday, following the sting operation, the Lokayukta DG initiated action against DSP-rank officers and lower-level officials and employees. Three employees were suspended, including Head Constable Ramdas Kurmi, Head Constable Yashwant Singh Thakur and Constable Gaurav Sahu. In addition, a proposal has been sent to the competent authority seeking suspension of Head Constable Brij Bihari Pandey. A recommendation has also been made for disciplinary action against contractual vehicle driver Amit Vishwakarma. Letter sent to DGP seeking suspension of 2 DSPs The second part of the sting operation, published on June 4, exposed the alleged involvement of DSP-level officers. Following the revelations, DSP BM Dwivedi and DSP Manju Singh were removed from the Lokayukta organisation and attached to the Police Headquarters (PHQ). Suspension proceedings may also be initiated against both officers. DG Yogesh Deshmukh has written to DGP Kailash Makwana in this regard.
