Relative rapes 6-year-old after luring her with toys:Suspect absconding after incident, victim admitted to ICU

A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped in the City Kotwali police station area of Rewa. The accused is reportedly the child’s elder paternal relative (“bade papa”). The victim has been admitted to the ICU of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, while the accused is absconding. The girl was playing at home when the predator arrived According to CSP Rajeev Pathak, the incident took place on Thursday night. The investigation revealed that the six-year-old girl was playing at her home when the accused arrived. Police said the accused allegedly called the child over and attempted to lure her by promising toys and gifts. When the girl went with him, he allegedly sexually assaulted her. The incident later came to the family’s notice, following which a complaint was lodged with the police. The victim was admitted to hospital for treatment, while police launched a search operation to trace the accused. Accused has more than a dozen criminal cases According to police, the accused already has more than a dozen serious criminal cases registered against him. Police are conducting raids to search for him. City Kotwali police have registered a rape case and started the investigation.
