About 200 meters from Ujjain Railway Station, near Gada Puliya, unknown miscreants pelted stones at the superfast Vande Bharat train on Monday evening. In the incident, window glasses of several coaches of the train were broken. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has registered a case and started investigation. According to information, the incident occurred on Monday evening around 7:30 PM. The Vande Bharat train was passing between Gada Puliya and Neelganga railway track, when some youths present near the track suddenly started pelting stones at the train. In the stone pelting, the window and pillar glasses of coaches C/6, C/7, C/8, C/9, E/1 and E/2 of the train were damaged. There was an atmosphere of chaos in the coaches CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced. In the footage, some suspicious youths can be seen roaming around the railway track before the train’s arrival. As soon as the train approached, they started pelting stones. Due to continuous stone pelting, panic spread among the passengers on the train and chaos ensued in several coaches. However, the relief was that no passenger was injured in the incident. Coaches inspected and information gathered from passengers Upon receiving information, Sub-Inspector Jayveer Singh reached the spot with his team and inspected the scene. However, no suspects were found at the location. Despite the incident, the train was not stopped and departed at its scheduled time. Later, the railway police inspected the affected coaches and gathered information from passengers. RPF engaged in identifying the accused RPF is now engaged in identifying the accused based on CCTV footage. The railway administration is seriously investigating the entire matter.
