The entire area of Patri Road in Maharajpura police station area of Gwalior was shaken by rapid firing on Wednesday morning. A retired BSF jawan, along with his associates, fired 15 to 20 rounds indiscriminately at a father-in-law and son-in-law. The father-in-law died in the attack, while the son-in-law is on ventilator. There has been tension in the entire area since the incident. Dispute over dumping sand on government land According to Additional SP Suman Gurjar, there had been a long-standing feud between the two parties over dumping sand on government land. On Wednesday morning around 10:30 AM, there was an argument and exchange of abuses between the two parties over the same issue. After this, the accused party attacked. When victims Mahendra alias Bhola Gurjar and Satyabhan Gurjar (father-in-law and son-in-law) were passing through Patri Road, bike-borne miscreants surrounded them from all sides. Before both could recover, main accused retired army man Vishnu Dubey and his associates started indiscriminate firing with country-made pistols and guns. As soon as the bullets hit them, both fell on the road covered in blood and the accused fled from the spot brandishing weapons. Bhola died due to excessive bleeding, son-in-law on ventilator Hearing the sound of firing, local people who rushed to the scene immediately informed the police. Both the injured were taken to the trauma center of Jayarogya Hospital in critical condition. According to doctors, Mahendra alias Bhola Gurjar succumbed due to excessive blood loss. Meanwhile, a team of doctors is engaged in an operation to remove bullets from Satyabhan Gurjar’s body. Currently, his condition is critical and he is on a ventilator. Outrage in Gurjar community, Quick Response Force deployed After this murder, there is widespread outrage among the deceased Bhola’s family members and the Gurjar community. The atmosphere from the hospital to the incident site (Patri Road) remains extremely tense. To prevent any untoward incident or riot-like situation, the administration has deployed the Quick Response Force (QRF) along with forces from several police stations on alert. 4 teams formed to apprehend the accused According to Additional SP Suman Gurjar, a case has been registered against the main accused Vishnu Dubey and his associates under sections for murder (IPC 302) and attempt to murder (IPC 307). Four police teams have been formed to arrest the accused, who are conducting raids at all possible locations including Murar, Bhind and Morena.
