Police Commissioner Sanjay Singh said the SIT is investigating the case from every angle and intensive efforts are underway to trace the accused. He said police have no objection to a second postmortem. Preliminary investigation suggests the case appears to be one of suicide. The marks found on the deceased’s neck were consistent with hanging using a belt. An FIR was also registered within two days of Twisha’s death. Meanwhile, senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha has also demanded a CBI investigation into the Twisha death case. Meanwhile, retired soldiers took out a bike rally in Bhopal on Wednesday demanding justice for Twisha Sharma. A large number of ex-servicemen gathered at Lal Parade Ground and staged a protest, demanding a fair investigation into the case. Twisha Sharma had died under suspicious circumstances on May 11. She was pregnant at the time of her death. Her in-laws claimed it was a case of suicide by hanging, while her parental family accused husband Samarth Singh and his family of murder. See 3 pictures of the rally ‘What kind of police can’t catch the accused?’ A retired Wing Commander participating in the rally said that if the government treated soldiers in this manner, it would affect the morale of serving jawans. He said the drug allegations levelled against Twisha Sharma by Giribala were fabricated and such accusations could be made against anyone. He alleged that Giribala herself was an accused in the case and was making such statements to protect herself. The ex-servicemen demanded speedy justice for the family. Questioning the functioning of the police administration, they asked what kind of police force was unable to arrest even a single accused so far. ‘Twisha is not Bhopal’s daughter, but the nation’s daughter’ Subedar Major RK Gupta said everyone wanted justice for the daughter.
